Task Light Lens

These acrylic prismatic task light lenses feature prisms precisely oriented 90° to the axis of the fluorescent lamp, which produce a widespread "batwing" distribution.  Our design achieves more uniform coverage of a workstation surface, and redirects veiling reflections.  Models 724 & 736 are lighting components for fluorescent lamp diffusion in applications such as valance lighting, under cabinet kitchen and office task lights.  Also, various distributions may be achieved with wall wash luminaires that incorporate unidirectional control reflectors.  Both lenses are molded from UV inhibited acrylic polymers with maximum optical clarity.  Other materials, such as polycarbonate, are available upon request for special applications.

Models 724 and 736 are designed for use in workstation areas and task lighting.

T-8 fluorescent lamps in 2', 3' and 4' lengths are primarily used with these 23.89" and 35.87" long task light lenses.  They can also be used with T-5, compact fluorescent and biax lamps.  Both models can be combined or cut to ensure that any lamp length can easily be accommodated.  Reflector design is an important contributor to the final distribution of the projected illumination along the axis or perpendicular to the lamp axis.  To avoid detrimental internal reflections and high temperatures, proper reflector and luminaire design is required.
