Lighting & Technical Services800-228-5275 LexaLite's Lighting and Technical Services Department is ready to assist you with a variety of technical solutions including:
Design, Engineering & Technical Support: Throughout the design process, manufacturability reviews and other design analyses are conducted to keep projects on-schedule. We support development from drawing to tool construction, and deliver competitive, high performance molds. Call our Lighting and Technical Services department to assist your with product compatibility questions. Design Services: Our engineering team uses AutoCad 2005, Mechanical Desktop 2005, and Autodesk Inventor 9 to produce 2D and 3D wireframe and solid model designs for a variety of applications. For optical designs we utilize BRO ray tracing software to predict light distribution patterns. Outdoor lighting layouts use Lumen Design software for modeling. Engineering Services: The advantage of working with LexaLite is that the responsibility for design, tooling and production all rests with one vendor. LexaLite will take your product specifications and produce a design which allows optimization of tooling and production. Project Management: Our forte is cradle-to-grave project management. We provide Gantt charts on tooling and design progress as requested. In addition to tracking in house work, we coordinate outsourced design and engineering, purchased component sourcing, prototypes and other services. Rapid Prototyping: By taking advantage of the latest prototyping techniques, LexaLite provides proof of concept and visual models to evaluate a design prior to tooling release. We have in house laser machining, CNC fabrication and thermoformed prototypes and we have local sourcing for SLA models. Prototypes are available in acrylic, ABS, and polycarbonate using Stereo Lithography (SLA), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology and other processes that fit the requirements of the project. Mold Design, Development and Maintenance: LexaLite's long heritage in optical molding has benefited all of our customers for years in design, development and maintenance of molds … from single cavity, open and shut molds to complex, multi-cavity, multiple-gate, multiple-action tools. The disciplines required in Optical molding has translated into unsurpassed mold maintenance programs including formal inspection processes, end-of-run processes and skilled polishing to ensure mold specifications and long-term mold performance.
